It's official. The Golden Globes have been canceled.
In solidarity with the striking Writer's Guild, the actors refused to show up and accept their awards.
The Academy Awards are looking iffy now as well.
In the back of my mind, I consider that Ellen Degeneres was the first to cross the picket line and go back to work. Then I think back to the ENDA controversy and how a huge part of our community came together to demand gender identity inclusion, but some of us sold out and went "back to work."
And I wonder if there's a connection. Do we always eat our own?

It is interesting how many in our community only come together until it becomes inconvenient for them.
It does seem like we have a habit of eating our own...
We don't always eat our own...witness United ENDA...but it does happen just way too often.
