PhotobucketMitt Romney has announced he is dropping out of the Republican Presidential race, saying “I'd be making it easier for Senator Clinton or Obama to win. Frankly, in this time of war, I simply cannot let my campaign be a part of aiding a surrender to terror.”

This basically cements a John McCain nomination, although Huckabee is still in the race.

It’s too bad. I enjoyed seeing Mitt and McCain attack each other and try to one-up the conservative (often anti-gay) rhetoric. I guess the Republican Party is going to be running strictly on Iraq now with McCain, who has said he knows nothing about the economy.

Get ready for some good old-fashion GOP fear-mongering. I can just see the flood of images of terrorists under the bed, next to the “militant homosexual activists” ready to destroy marriage…
