c'mon alex! what is YOUR take on that statement? where did it come from? i would like to read it in the complete context of the exchange.

if you look at the comment on it's own, you could say it about anyone. including obama.

I think it was a pretty sexist thing for him to say but I don't really know what he was thinking. I mean, did he mean "periodic" the way that most of us would think of the term as applied to women's moods in our most cynical moments? Or was he just kinda being mean for political gain? Or both?

I hope that he thought this through more than he did and just didn't say it, but either way it comes across as pretty sexist to me, but the story isn't gaining legs, so I guess this is where it ends!
