"Christianity is now on offense... We're taking the battle to a new level, and the result will be either that Christians regain the authority to speak to all areas of life or that Christians lose the ability to speak at all. The stakes are high."

-- Clark Vandeventer, a blogger for the fundamentalist hate group Indiana Family Institute, explaining why Christians need to start attacking progressives. Interestingly enough, Mr. Vandeventer does not live in Indiana, but in Santa Barbara, California.

Religion has never been big on pluralism, has it? Everything is a battle to the death with these people.

What is horrible is that they project that sentiment onto their perceived "enemies". They really can't accept that LGBT people, for instance, might simply want to live and let live--as equals with everyone else. For them, somebody's got to win, to take control, to be in charge, to make others submit.
