Norway has announced plans to open marriage to same-sex couples. The nation has had a domestic partnership registry since 1993 that gives gay couples some of the same rights as marriage.
Anniken Huitfeldt, the Minister of Children and Equality, said:
Letting gay couples marry won't weaken marriage as an institution; rather, it will strengthen it. Marriage won't be worth less because more can take part in it.
The new law would permit same-sex couples to marry in churches, adopt children, and receive state-funded medical assistance in getting pregnant.

They will have apolectic siezures for sure in trying to top each other on comparing Norway to Sodom and Gommorah.
Wonder if pope bentdick, er, benedict that is, will excommunicate the whole country for this?
