Allow me to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our readers and supporters that have really pitched in to help build Bilerico Project lately. After my post yesterday, our visitors pulled it out and we topped 1000 RSS subscribers for the first time today.
A couple of weeks ago I mentioned needing a microphone so we could start putting together a tri-weekly short radio segment. We put up a donate button and a link in the post; our new microphone arrived last week. Many thanks for the generosity and look for our first segment soon.
Bilerico-Indiana is taking off quickly. The site continues the Bilerico tradition of local politics from a queer perspective with a good dose of snark. But the best news? B-I's rapid popularity has led Jerame and I to expand the idea. Look for Bilerico-DC and Bilerico-Florida to launch soon! If you live in Indiana, Florida or DC and you'd like to become a contributor to the state-level blogs, check out our page on how to become a contributor.
Thanks so much for all the love and help growing the Bilerico Project, ya'll. We couldn't do it without the thousands of you who stop by every day. Together we can build the dialog around LGBT issues and, hopefully, help shape the debate.

Nick - yup, DC. Monica - no to GA right now. We're rolling out these two first because we have members of the editorial team in those areas that already know the bilerico ropes and how we do things. Once we've had these three up and running for a bit and have worked out all (who am I kidding? most) of the kinks, then we'll start planning for other states. Eventually, we'd like to have Bilerico state sites in every state.
Michael Crawford will be leading Bilerico-DC and Waymon Hudson will be the editor of Bilerico-Florida.

Well, I'm looking forward to helping here in GA in the future, if possible.
