Is it just me that's tired of all of the Brokeback Mountain jokes? Not that I'm knocking your video choice, Serena, I'm simply saying that it amazes me how America had to handle a gay love story. Not only did the story almost inevitably have to be a downer (Can you imagine if they'd left their wives and moved in together in San Francisco?), but the requisite gay bashing was in there too. Plus, add to that, the two ways most Americans reacted to the movie was to either 1) Be "grossed out" that it's two guys kissing, etc or 2) Find as many ways to laugh at gay love as possible.
So I just wonder when the jokes will stop and the message of the movie will actually sink in.
