There's a tragedy brewing for fans of "Project Runway." On Monday, NBC Universal filed suit against the Weinstein Company, the production company that owns the rights to "Project Runway," because Weinstein had sold the rights to Bravo TV's network rival Lifetime. According to Reuters:

Project Runway just completed its fourth cycle, and NBC said in the suit that it is in production for the fifth season on Bravo. But NBC said on Monday that it may have to decide whether to continue to air the show.

No "Project Runway"? What's a girl to do?

Are you freaking kidding me? If the show is already in the middle of production for Season 5, surely NBC wouldn't pack up the sewing machines and tell all of the designers who have been competing that they're shit out of luck. If you want to talk about contract violations, I'd venture to guess that this would qualify.

I guess I could wait until Lifetime picks up the show, but this is a tragedy of epic proportions. There are two things I'm morally opposed to in this world: renting a U-Haul and watching Lifetime. I'm voting for NBC.
