Some of you old-time Projectors may remember this weekend gem- Songs for Sunday! Here are the rules: one of our edteam will post the last ten songs from their iPod, then you share yours in the comments so we can compare! Let's play!

So here are mine for this week... Follow after the jump for the full list and play along!

1) 4 minutes (Madonna ft. Justin Timberlake)
2) Bleeding Love (Leona Lewis)
3) Coin-operated Boy (The Dresden Dolls)
4) Pump (The B-52's)
5) Foundations (Kate Nash)

6) No Air (Jordin Sparks & Chris Brown)
7) Nine in the Afternoon (Panic at the Disco)
8) The Best Revenge (Pansy Division)
9) Rudebox (Robbie Williams)
10) Starlight (Muse)

An odd bunch, I know. I actualy just hit shuffle (as I tend to do) and this is what popped out!

I just listened to the Dirty Projectors' Rise Above album on my off-brand mp3 player (does that count as an iPod even though it isn't sleek and white and appear in cool silhouette dancing commercials?), and it has 11 tracks on it but I don't like one, so that makes 10.

Voila!

I use Winamp and it's always on random.

The last ones:

1. Jill Sobule - War Correspondent
2. The Constantines - Thank You For Sending Me An Angel
3. The Foundation Movement - Not Like All The Others
4. Spoon - Don't Let It Get You Down
5. Burt Bacharach - Little French Boy
6. The Killers - Believe Me Natalie
7. Lisa Germano - Candy
8. Lali Puna - Tocs-Discos
9. Alex Under - Monument
10. Lali Puna - Fast Forward

1. Llorando - Rebekah Del Rio
2. High - James Blunt
3. Light & Day/Reach for the Sun - The Polyphonic Spree
4. Your Ex-Lover is Dead - Stars
5. Cab - Train
6. James - Josh Rouse
7. Alternative to Love - Brendan Benson
8. You Don't Love Me - Dawn Penn
9. Bab el oued kingston - Gnawa
10. Jolene - Paula Cole

I think I still win for gayest mix!! Ha Ha!

Keep 'em coming!

I'm gonna win for the gayest list! Mine wasn't on shuffle and I listened to the entire Hairspray soundtrack TWICE!

I can always count on Serena to "out gay" me. I thought I clenched it with the new b-52's song...

I love Lali Puna though. Good choices, Nine. :)

Damn right, Waymon. I'm the biggest gay guy I know! Total flamer!

1. 4 minutes (Madonna ft. Justin Timberlake)
2. This Is Your Life (Jake Wilson & Company) - see www.thebatterysdown.com
3. You Should Be In That (Jake Wilson & Ana Nogueira) - ibid.
4. Can't Seem To Get It Right Today (Joe Purdy)
5. Tonight (Lykke Li)
6. Time Flies (Lykke Li)
7. Supernatural Superserious (R.E.M.)
8. Shake Thas Ass (The Lovemakers)
9. Don't Rain on My Parade (Barbra Streisand)
10. See These Bones (Nada Surf)

9. Don't Rain on My Parade (Barbra Streisand)

I think Jere beat you, Serena... LOL

And I love me some R.E.M.!

Babs? Now there is the gayest song yet. Hands down. Sorry Serena.

Totally random playlisting, too.

Mom would be so proud.

I will take the prize for the Heaviest:

Losin Your Mind, Pride and Glory(Zakk Wilde)
Rebel Yell, Billy Idol
Sick of It All, Black Label Society
Something, The Beatles
See You on the Other Side, Ozzy Osbourne
All Hallow's Eve, Type O Negative
Heavy Metal: the Black and the Silver, Blue Oyster Cult
Subhuman, Blue Oyster Cult
Man inthe Box, Alice in Chains
Hero, Ozzy Osbourne

Beatles, to Type O Negative, to Ozzy, yeah I have eclectic tastes. I still need to load my Strauss and Wagner on the machine.

Oh, diddly... you're not heavy, you're my sister! (yea! cheesy old movie quote!)

"We are Family!"

and of course it has been so long since I have heard the song that I do not remember the rest of the lyrics.

Luv ya too Waymon, despite the NKOTB mania you and Serena are foisting on us! ;)

diddlygrl, I'm with you on the hard stuff ...

Deer Lodge (These Arms Are Snakes)
The Gentle Art of Making Enemies (Faith No More)
Cosmopolitan (Nine Black Alps)
St. Louise Is Listening (Soul Coughing)
Cosmonaut (At The Drive In)
Stockholm Syndrome (Muse)
Quote Unquote (Mr. Bungle)
The (bad word) Sisters (These Arms Are Snakes)
Strip The Soul (Porcupine Tree)
Prison Sex (Tool)

Okay, Soul Coughing is probably the odd man out on the list - not that hard. But a damn good band all the same.

And yaay Waymon for Pansy Division and Muse. Great bands.

fantwho- I am ADDICTED to Pansy Division! They are AMAZING!

Diddly- I cannot help that Serena and I are excited about NKOTB. What can I say... We are a couple of squealing teenage girls when it comes to them. :)
