Report: Stabenow's husband paid prostitute in sting
Thomas Athans, the husband of U.S. Sen. Debbie Stabenow and cofounder of a liberal talk radio network, told Troy police detectives that he paid a prostitute $150 for sex at a Troy hotel in late February, according to a police report obtained Wednesday by the Free Press under the Freedom of Information Act.

I don't get the point of this post. He hired a prostitute and was caught. He's the husband of a Senator.

I also don't get the point of this post. As it being the first post that I saw in this issue, I really not impressed. I have been telling a lot people about this newsletter. I am not sure I want to do this anymore if this is the type of trash that it is going to have.
Signed very disappointed

I think I got it easily. It was a really stupid thing to do!
When you're married to a Senator, hiring a prostitute is probably the last thing you should probably be doing. With all of the recent stories of politicians and prostitutes, I'd have stopped to think, "Maybe I could at least meet someone online that I don't have to pay for? It's only illegal if I pay for it. If it's free, it's not as bad."
