It amuses me still to see the far-flung places that mention the site. Fellow blogger Lalita Amos noticed the Bilerico Project in Wired Magazine's May issue. Unfortunately, the story isn't on the Wired site yet, but she tells me we're on page 28 of the print version.
A while back Jerame heard of the Big Word Project and showed it to me. The idea is that for $1 per letter, you could "buy" any word in the English language. When someone goes to their site, if they click on that word they'll be sent to whatever site you chose. Among others LGBT specific words, we bought "faggot." That's why we were mentioned - for "snatching back this hateful word."
I'll share the Wired URL as soon as the site updates.
