A good friend sent a link to an obituary yesterday. Baskin-Robbins co-founder Irvine Robbins died at age 90 a few days ago. The ice cream mastermind brought us flavors like Rocky Road, Pink Bubblegum and Pralines 'n Cream.
"Everybody has a proprietary interest in ice cream," Robbins told the Times for the 1973 story. "All you have to do is mention ice cream and everybody has a flavor."
Which begs the question: What's your favorite ice cream flavor(s)?

Anything to get people posting comments, huh, Bil?
Okay, you asked for it. I can do without Pink Bubblegum, but other than that, I adore ice cream and will eat just about any flavor if it's put down in front of me. However, my faves run to the classics...like French vanilla, coffee, chocolate, and pralines n cream.

They did away with my fave -
World Class Chocolate
Wish Blue Bell would make their version of it, I like their ice cream better than B-R's, and there aren't very many B-R's around my area anymore.

OMG - I have a B&R near my house. It's so dangerous! I LOVE the pink bubblegum flavor, toasted coconut, and/or the peach sorbet. I'm not a fan, however, of rocky road. Too much shit in a bowl if you ask me.
The men I love most, though, are Monsieurs Ben & Jerry. I heart me some Cherry Garcia, Phish Food, Chunky Monkey, Chubby Hubby, and Strawberry!

Life is so flexable, and so is my taste in ice cream. Whatever tickles my fancy at the time . . . which is very few times any more. The fat and sugar content is not something my old body can process as well as it could as a youngster.

Blue Bell has my tastebuds lock, stock and freezer.
My fave flavors of Blue Bell are Homemade Vanilla and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.

My favorite ice cream (which comes from Babcock Hall at the University of Wisconsin) is orange custard chocolate chip.

The all-time best is Champagne ice cream from Tom's Ice Cream Bowl in Zanesville, Ohio. It's homemade (as are all of their treats!). They were rated one of the "10 Great Places in America to Get a 'Scoop'" by USA Today.
For a regular every day flavor, I'm a chocoholic. Rocky Road, B&J's New York Super Fudge Chunk or Chocolate Brownie hit the spot.

I'm all about vanilla ... but only when it comes to ice cream. ;)

I've gotta go with vanilla. It's the only flavor I can share with the dog.

B&J's isn't exactly bad, either. The Choc Chip cookie dough in that, or Blue Bell, works great for me. A smidge of hot fudge or caramel makes it!
I still want to see Blue Bell make one like BR's "World Class Chocolate", however. That'd be perfect.
A nice simple blend of white and dark chocolate. Yum.
