In case you haven't noticed, Serena and I are VERY excited about the "Sex and the City" movie coming out this weekend. While many of you may roll your eyes at us (that's fine- we don't need your approval), I know many of you are SATC fans as well.
So here's this weekend's open thread- Which "Sex and the City" character are you?
And I don't just mean the four girls- get creative! Are you a Stanford Blatch? A Mitzi Von Muffling? Maybe a Charlotte who secretly wants to be a Samantha? Maybe a Burger who loves post-it notes?
And in case you can't figure it out- here's an online quiz to help you along the way! And keep an eye out for our QueerView Review of the "Sex and the City" Movie on Sunday!

According to the website quiz you posted: You Are Most Like Samantha!
I'd have thought myself more Carrie, personally.

I'm such a Samantha, but I've got a little Miranda in me, too. It's the feminist side of me. I love that Samantha is unapologetically against marriage. And I thought her explanation in the movie was perfect! (I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen the movie yet. That review's not until tomorrow!)

Okay, I've stopped rolling my eyes around in my head. I've never been able to sit through an entire episode of the show, so I can only rely on those internet quizes.
Apparently, I am a Carrie.
As a single gay man, though, I feel compelled to boast that I'm a Mr. Big (whether that's true or not - this is the internet).

But can the guy in question live up to your romantic ideal?
It's tough for you to find the right match - you're more than a little picky.
Never fear... You've got a great group of friends and a
great closet of clothes, no matter what!
Romantic prediction: You'll fall for someone this year...
Totally different from any guy you've dated. Which Sex and the City Vixen Are You?
Just when I always thought I was a Miranda.
Perhaps my problem is false self-image? Although, since I'm apparently a Carrie, I have to say I can see myself falling for Ferris Bueller and then being perfectly happy when he ages poorly, loses his boyish charm (slash arrogance), and virtually tanks career-wise over time (minus a few exceptions -- The Producers, Election). He'll always be Ferris in my heart ;)
Won't lie -- thought I'd hate Sex and the City 'til I started watching re-runs on TBS. LOVE IT. Can't wait for the movie tomorrow night!

I'm a total Charlotte. I've tried to deny it, but I am. Although in the movie, Charlotte does show some teeth and anger to defend Carrie. Loved it!!
I have the burning desire to be a Samantha, but it will never happen. Sigh.

Um . . . I'm Starbuck on "Battlestar Galactica." (This game is so much fun.)
I like sex, but no city has to factor into it.

I used to be a college man, but then fell out of luck.
So you go be a college man and I'll stay home and

I couldn't get through it. Can someone just tell me which one I'm most like?
I think that my apathy keeps me from being a good TV character anyway....

I don't know which character I am, but for years I disliked Sarah Jessica Parker. Then eventually I figured out I was subconsciously hot for Matthew Broderick, and my dislike was just repressed jealousy. Having figured it out, I now think Jessica is a nice lady and a good woman --- but I doubt that we would ever be lets-do-lunch buddies.
Broderick's best performance, IMHO, will always be in the civil war movie Glory many years ago. His character was a twit spoiled wealthy son and a courageous war hero both at the same time, and Broderick captured the balance between the two perfectly. Moreover the tension between him and Trip, Denzel Washington's character, seems charged with homoeroticism to me. It's possibly the closest that Denzel will ever get to playing a gay role, even a subliminal one, his appearance in Philadelphia notwithstanding. Of course, Denzel won his first Oscar for playing Trip in Glory, undoubtedly because of the whipping scene where his acting was truly amazing. (If you think I'm offbase about the homoeroticism thing in Glory, pay attention to the burial scene at the very end of the movie.)
Oh, wait a minute, this thread is supposed to be about Sex and the City. I've never been able to sit still through an entire episode of Sex and the City on TV. What character does that make me?

Alex- I would say you are a Miranda. Your lovable, curmudgeny attitude only proves it.
AJ- I think you are totally a Carrie. The fact that you are obsessed with Broderick makes you excactly like your archenemy- Sarah Jessica Parker! Yikes!
