If there is any pro-LGBT voter out there who is wondering which candidate to support for the presidency, these video compilations of statements by John McCain and Barack Obama should clear things up.

The Obama video, which was compiled by Obama Pride Seattle, shows clearly that Obama is not afraid to speak loudly and publicly about his commitment to LGBT civil rights. He has also hired some of the smartest openly gay organizers in the country to work on his campaign staff including deputy campaign manager Steve Hildebrand, constituency director Brian Bond and LGBT vote director Dave Noble.
The McCain video was made by the Human Rights Campaign and shows that McCain has a clear and consistent record of opposing LGBT civil rights including supporting a proposed amendment to the Arizona state constitution that would deny marriage to same-sex couples.
Obama may not be there yet on marriage, but on every other key LGBT issue he has proclaimed our right to equal treatment under the law. Whereas a McCain presidency would be four more years of Bush-like anti-gay rhetoric coming from the White House.
Is there any doubt who would make the better president for helping to advance LGBT civil rights?

Quite a difference, eh?

Thank you Michael. I am glad the McCain segment was only one fourth of the Obama segment in length. I could not take once more. McCain's losing argument with his base is "100 years in Iran."
