Just have a few minutes, but quickly: The AMC is rad. So many inspiring, inspired people crossing paths and linking up.

Last night's keynote was everything a keynote of a social-justice-minded event should be: multivoiced, multimedia, multi-issue--a truly collaborative presentation that reached across generations, disciplines, and communities to articulate a vision of a just, creative, sustainable world we are all part of bringing into being. Alexis Pauline Gumbs brought together many voices to group-read a poem that named predecessors alongside people in the room as forces of beauty and change; we saw a new video from Climbing Poetree's "Hurricane Season"; members of Sista II Sista offered a visionary video/live-audio presentation; there was dancing (!); and much, much more.

(Currently blogging from Adele's kitchen table, alongside Adele and
Mamita Mala. [They say hi!] Headed back to the conference center soon.)
