Everyone knows we consider ourselves the Bilerico family around here. I guess that makes me the Blog Mama since no one who knows Jerame and I would argue that I'm the butch one. *grins* One of the other ways you can tell is that I'm not afraid to pull out the photo album and show off one of my (blog) kids.

ceremony.jpgWhile Lane ran into our two newlyweds and snapped a picture for the blog, you didn't think I was going to pass up the chance to bring out more pictures did you? What else makes Waymon a favorite son? Just like his publicity whore blog mama, Waymon found a way to get he and Anthony in a few news reports! More pics and news clips after the jump including a short note from Waymon himself.

rotunda.jpgFrom Waymon himself:

"It was a beautiful day- one of the happiest of my life. It felt like the entire city was congratulating us everywhere we went. We had the ceremony at 12:30 at San Francisco City Hall. We were on the balcony in the main rotunda, surrounded by cheering people. The city even hired a violinist for all the couples as they got married. We both cried as the clerk pronounced us spouses for life.

I've included a few pictures. There will be lots more to come when I get time. I just wanted to get a few for you guys to see so you could share our day with us since we are part of the Bilerico Family!"

From the NBC news report comes this clip about the duo. Perhaps someone should tell NBC that they're part of the same "same-sex couple"...

certificate.jpgMany same sex couples came to San Francisco to party from out of state.

"When the decision came down, we decided to go ahead and get married and it's nice that we can actually tell people that we're married," said Anthony Niedwieck, part of a same sex couple.

On the way to the altar, one Florida couple stumbled on a double celebration. They did not realize it was pride weekend when they came to town.

Some couples are expected to get hitched on the parade route.

"It's something that means a lot to us," said Waymon Hudson, who is part of a same sex couple. "It's not recognized in our state when we get back home but it meant a lot to us to come here and get married today."

Congratulations to the happy couple! May they spend years together as happy as they were on their wedding day!

I can't wait to congratulate them in person when they visit Indianapolis in a few weeks. Then I can start nagging Anthony and Waymon about giving me a new grandbaby. I know what happens on honeymoons.
