For all of my highlights of silly e-mails and press releases that people send us, I'd be negligent if I didn't also point out the really, really sweet e-mails readers send in to us regularly.
For example, last Thursday alone we got the following:
From Facebook:
The Bilerico Project is awesome! Keep it up!
This was followed about ten minutes later with a note from a different reader:
Bilerico Project is my first stop every morning. I can't get enough. It sucks that you didn't get DNC credentials. You guys deserve them!
People tend to go longer over regular e-mail though and some of them get us all verklempt. One reader even sent us a Bilerico flash animation! Check them out after the jump.
There was the commenter who left this:
Can I just say that I am so glad I stumbled across this blog! I laugh, I cry (hell, I cry at Folger's commercials!), and I enjoy myself immensely. I try to stay informed, here in Des Moines, IA, and more often than not, I do so by reading blogs her and other places. I get
mad at some people sometimes, and I get inspired by many, quite often. Thanks so much for the great resources. Des Moines is not po-dunk by any means, rather we are a blooming community with many outlets, but sometimes news is not new when we get it!Thanks, again!
This came in over the e-mail contact form:
Thanks for the amazing work you do at the Bilerico Project. What a fantastic site! ...[I am] impressed with the depth and breadth with which you cover issues important to the LGBT community.
...along with this one
Bilerico has become my first stop every morning. I can't get enough. I wasn't much of a blog reader but I don't miss a day now. Thanks for all your hard work!
But best of all? This made me grin like the Cheshire Cat as soon as I saw it. It was so sweet that a reader would think of us while out goofing off on the web. *grins*
We love you guys too.

I kept expecting "Hands" Solo or Darth Waymon wearing a "Bridezilla" dress. It was Great!

Over time, this has become part of my extended family. I don't agree with everything that's posted here, but that doesn't mean that those who I disagree with aren't part of this family.
There are so many of you that I would like to meet in person. Some I have, and others I will meet sometime in the future.
Bilerico rocks! Please keep up the good work.
Hugs from Denver which is in the middle of its two-day Pride Fest.
