With news reports confirming that former Senator Sam Nunn is on the short list for VP pick, it is important that we unite in reminding Senator Obama: Don't Ask Sam Nunn to be your running mate.

Some people say that such a horrible misstep cannot happen. However, Sunday's New York Times has an article about Nunn's significant potential to be selected as VP.

Two key excerpts from the New York Times article:

1) "Mr. Obama appeared with two of the more speculated-about names on Democratic lists, Senator Evan Bayh of Indiana and former Senator Sam Nunn of Georgia."

2) "There is no shortage of what Democrats describe as do-no-harm people he can pick: be it Mr. Bayh; Senator Joseph R. Biden Jr. of Delaware; Mr. Nunn; or Gov. Tim Kaine of Virginia."

So, not only he is considered a serious contender, but some democrats consider that his candidacy would "do no harm." It is critical that all of us speak up immediately about the harm that Senator Nunn had done in the past to our community and how if he becomes the VP pick he could damage the ticket.
