Happy 4th of July! It's America's birthday and time for cookouts, fireworks and a day off from work. in-the-corn.jpgWhen I appeared on the John Selig Outspoken podcast, one of the things we talked about was Indiana's corn crop and how the recent flooding had devastated the fields.

"Knee high by the 4th of July" is the old farmer's saying about corn plants and, at least in some parts, the crop is doing okay. This picture of me in the corn field shows you at least some of the corn has made it although more didn't survive than did. This quick cell phone snapshot was taken in front of Jerame's brother's house yesterday.

Since we're all taking the day off, you get the floor. Consider this an open thread. Your topic. Your choice. Play nice.
