It's the debut of our new vlog, where we "wrap up" the week's gay entertainment news! This week...homophobia in the new X-Files movie, why the critics might be dissing Mamma Mia!, and the controversy/debate over some extremely bigoted comments by science fiction writer Orson Scott Card:
« Possible meeting between HRC and trans activists | Home | What'll happen to Californian domestic partners? »

I agree that Card's a sharp SF writer. But virulent, compulsive haters like him are more than just offensive. Like Der Pope and Jimmy Swaggart, people like Card create a political climate that breeds violence.
I'll never buy one of his books again and will take every opportunity to let people know that he's a 21st century klansman.

I've heard that from several people about the X-Files movie. It's kinda surprising.

I was really surprised by the X-FILES. In this day and age? I mean, come on...
As for Card, well, it's sad, because I liked some of his books. But yeah, won't be buying any of them ever again.

I was horrified when I found out about Card's views on homosexuality. It's really sad. I love his books.
