Gov. Charlie Crist has selected Charles Canady to sit on the Florida Supreme Court, filling the vacancy left by Justice Raoul Cantero III.
According to WMNF Radio:
Canady, a former GOP congressman, is best known as being among those who prosecuted President Bill Clinton in the 1999 Senate impeachment trial. He later served as general counsel to Gov. Jeb Bush and defended Bush's school voucher program, which let children from failing public schools switch to private schools at taxpayers' expense.
