Our reporting on Kathy Gilleran's search for her son, who disappeared in Austria in 2007, has moved many of our readers. PFLAG has received numerous emails, messages of support for Kathy, and many questions about the story, how you can help, and what happens now.
Kathy has asked PFLAG to express her gratitude for all our supporters have done to draw attention to her search for Aeryn. (Since our original report appeared, Kathy has been interviewed by Michelangelo Signorile, and covered by PageOneQ.) Your interest in Aeryn's story has helped capture the public's attention and your support for this amazing mom has inspired her to keep searching for answers.
Later this week, the PFLAG blog and Bilerico will host a Q & A with Kathy. We have heard from many of you that you still have questions about the story and Kathy has agreed to answer as many of your questions as possible.
Here's how it works: Leave a question for Kathy here in the comments section and we'll select a sampling of those, send them to her, and ask her to respond. Then, we'll post her answers here on Bilerico, and at the PFLAG blog, later in the week.

Aeryn has been my good friend for 16+ years. What has happened to him, and the lack of help from Austrian police is unacceptable!
I know that the U.N. has assisted Kathy along the way. In fact, had it not been for them, the police in Austria would have never even of taken a missing persons report on Aeryn. Our Government officials, and our Embassy in Austria have been useless. It seems the only time our government has any power over other countries is when its telling them what they can or can't do, or taking all their natural resources. Yet when it comes to a missing American our government suddenly has no power-give me a break!
Gay people and friends/families/supporters unite! Take 10 mins, forward Aeryn's story or write your own letter to your congressman/woman, human rights org/PFLAG/the U.S state department in Washington-attn: Susan Fitch! Ask your representatives how this could happen to an American-DEMAND ANSWERS. You are the key to finding Aeryn, get involved, ask questions, forward his story to your friends and family-Write the Austrian government or Austrian police-DO SOMETHING-DON'T LET WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO AERYN HAPPEN TO ANOTHER GLBT INDIVIDUAL..ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
