Why does Elaine Donnelly hate God's rainbows?
In a recent post at the National Review Online, Mrs. D. lashes out at the colorful creations in the sky, insinuating - in addition to her long-held belief that there are no rights for women or gays - that there are no "rainbow rights" either.
"Democratic candidate Sen. Barack Obama sports a rainbow-striped logo in the 'People' section of his website," she writes, and people "waving rainbow flags" (such as Senator Obama and former Republican Congressman Bob Barr) have no place in our nation's policy debate.
It used to be that Elaine was chasing rainbows and trying to will the improbable possible. Now, she thinks they're just another one of God's creations to be pushed aside....

Odd that you can see her eyes when she is staring in a mirror all the time, looking backward, thinking that the America of decades past was safer, cleaner, friendlier and didn't have all those other skin colors to frighten her.

This kind of comment by anyone, whether I agree with them or not, always pisses me off. Who the hell is she that she gets to decide who is eligible to participate in this nation's policy debate? Who died and left her in charge? OK, yes, I know. She has titles. Well, everyone has titles. I have titles. BFD. She's nobody. Well, I'm nobody, too. And I have just as much right as she to make that determination. So I've decided that in fact, it is SHE who has no place in the national policy debate. There. Now it's settled. Now, go away -- you bother me.
