Alaska's the closest part of our continent to Russia. So it's not as if she doesn't understand what's at stake here.

This one is almost too easy. The real scary question is whether McCain knew she had screwed up or if someone had to explain it to him.

Yeah, and Texas is next to Mexico, so that gave Bush foriegn policy knowledge... and we see where that got us.
