I've been rather unimpressed with the caliber of advertisements coming out of the Obama campaign. You would think with all that money, they could produce some better advertising. Hell, they could throw a contest with their supporters to create their own ads, with the winners being broadcast, and create better ads for free.
As I am sitting up watching Hurricane Ike coverage and listening to Chris Garneau (thanks for the hat tip Alex and also available on Itunes), I saw the first Obama ad that has actually caught my eye in ages.
He hit backs hard on McCain's co-opting of the change mantra, and actually talks about what his change would entail. This IS change we can believe in. Watch it after the jump!

I hope Obama keeps hitting back hard...

But at what point does he go from a new kind of politician giving us change to believe in and a standard politics-as-usual attack-ad-lovin' politician?

I will vote for Mr. Obama because I share more interests than with John McCain--assuming he's more honest than Bill(DOMA, DADT, ect) and Hillary Clinton (Check out Elizabeth Warren and Amelia Tiyagi's book The Two-Income Trap for a very specific example of how she flip-flops on issues when it is in her personal interest to do so.
However, his words and his actions clearly indicate an anti-GLBTQ stance and an inability to stand up for true injustice as he states he does. He cannot distinguish between civil and religious marriage with a Harvard degree?
He needs to be pressed harder.
An HRC endorsement is a rubber stamp for essentially the status quo. They often serve themselves more than the GLBTQ community at large, and that's a concern.

He must start hitting back. McCain has been getting away with murder in high heels.
