Larry Craig has formed a legal expense fund to keep his fight against his own guilty plea going:

Craig calls the new fundraising committee the Fund for Justice, according to Congressional Quarterly.

Craig told CQ on Thursday that he's soliciting donations.

"I'm working at it now," said the Idaho Republican who is retiring in January after 28 years in Congress.

I wonder who would donate to such a worthy cause?

Besides TBP's own Don Sherfick, I can't think of a single person who'd be willing to fork over some cash to get Larry Craig off the hook.

While you're helping one wealthy Republican senator get off the hook, you can also donate to another:

The Senate Ethics Committee has given Sen. Ted Stevens permission to set up a legal expense fund, which will provide another source of revenue to pay for the Alaska Republican's upcoming federal corruption trial.

Jury selection begins Monday for Stevens' trial, in which prosecutors will try to prove that the veteran lawmaker illegally concealed gifts he received from executives of Alaska-based oil and gas services company VECO Corp. over a period of seven years.

At least Larry Craig just proposed having some sex in the bathroom. Ted Stevens was completely corrupt.

Your senators need your help to keep their record clean. Are you willing to spare a dime?
