Lindsay Lohan, 24, who recently showed her political side in a fiery anti-Palin myspace blogpost, confirmed a long-speculated relationship with 31-year old DJ "gal pal" Samantha Ronson. While speaking on a popular radio show Loveline:

lohan.jpgLoveline: "Now, you and "Samantha have been going out for how long now? Two years? One year? Five months? Two months?"

Lohan: "A very long time."

Loveline: "Well I hope you two stay together for a long time. You're a very lovely couple."

This marks the first public acknowledgment of Lindsay and Samantha's relationship as a couple. First Clay and now Lindsay! And all in one week! If the Powers That Be can hear me... let's make it a hat trick and get Anderson Cooper to come out by Friday! Considering how well Rachel Maddow, the first openly lesbian news pundit to receive a primetime news commentary program, is doing, Andy should have no problem coming out!

The remarks are around the 6:40 mark...

Yeah, they're a cute couple and all, but I wonder if Lohan isn't doing all of this for the publicity. She is a paparazzi whore, after all. I think this is another Anne Hesche situation.

Good for Lindsay! One thing you have to give her - she never ran around pulling a Clay Aiken. She was always herself. No People magazine great reveal (was it after the break?), just a casual comment in an interview.

Great that she came out.

The big question now is: does she get a QMF? Does she really qualify as a musician?
