If you're on Facebook, check out the new Barack Obama campaign app. While the campaign gave me an idea that it was a major upgrade, I had no idea how cool it would be.
Our overarching goal in this development process is to embed into Facebook many of the same tools that we have built on freestanding sites like barackobama.com and VoteForChange.com. Not only does this make it easier for Facebook users to access these tools, but it also means that our supporters' engagement with these tools will be immediately exposed to their friends through the feed system in Facebook. This is a key way to spread the message of the Obama campaign and to equip as many young people as possible with the tools to influence their friends and to get ready to vote themselves.
They made it very easy for Facebook users to get political. My favorite part? If I rate a video, it asks me if I'd like to send it to one of my friends who live in a swing state. Check it out.
