The snot sacks over at ProtectMarriage.com threw down the gauntlet yesterday to corporate America.
The names of any companies and organizations that choose not to donate in like manner to ProtectMarriage.com but have given to Equality California will be published.
More blind rage after the flip...
So what is a corporate, opportunistic, reactionary, hot-head like me do? Drop some coin on Equality California of course!
I own an ad agency and building brands and dealing with PR is something I do daily (my portfolio in PDF format wink wink). ProtectMarriage.com's threat of "exposing" companies that donate to Equality California is, at best, hollow. I hope they do expose those donating to make marriage available to all people. With the downturn in the economy, isn't it best to be on the forefront in a civil rights battle? Isn't that where you want your company?
Hell, the way I see it, if ProtectMarriage.com does NOT "expose" companies who fought against Prop 8, we should sue them for false advertising. I know for my company, business is way down, and I need all the free publicity ProtectMarriage.com's bullshit outing can give me.
For a low price of $20 ProtectMarriage.com has promised to promote your business if you donate to Equality California! While you are at it, dump some cash on No On Prop 8 just to keep your bases covered.
Oh, did I mention my portfolio?

Ha ha - what a stupid move. Free advertising for pro-equality companies. You said it Stormy!
