Disgusting.
That is all that comes to mind when I heard Cindy McCain unleash yet another low blow attack on Obama while stumping in Pennsylvania. Funny how the campaign that kept screaming "leave families out of it" when it came to very valid discussion of Palin's teenage pregnant daughter and abstinence only teaching is now using their children as political pawns. Here's part of Cindy's screed:
The day that Sen. Obama decided to cast a vote to not fund my son when he was serving sent a cold chill through my body. I would suggest that Sen. Obama change shoes with me for just one day and see what it means ... to have a loved one serving in the armed forces and more importantly, serving in harm's way. I suggest he take a day and go watch our fine young men...and women deploy, get on those buses and leave with a smile.

Funny how Cindy didn't mention her husband also voted against war funding because it included a timeline. Where was that cold chill then?
And no mention of Biden's son going to war as well? Imagine that.
I am sick and tired of this party and their twisted "family values"- which apparently includes using their kids as props. From Palin bringing her kids (including her newborn and the father of teenage daughter's baby- but don't talk about them!) on stage every time to Cindy's latest comments- not to mention their continued war on intellectualism and the continued push to incite violence and fear- it is clear that this campaign has no moral compass whatsoever.
I'm not sure how much more of these gutter politics I can take- and I'm not sure how much more our country can either.

So, when can we start ragging on Palin for being an unfit mother and allowing her teenage daughter to get pregnent out of wedlock?

Monica, I'm not saying I disagree, but I don't know that it does the Obama campaign any good to start making direct attacks on people's kids. Let's just leave that to the Republicans.

I'm not suggesting the Obama campaign say anything. However, does that mean the rest of us cannot question her on this and other hard issues? I would sure do it to Palin and Cindy if I had half a chance.

The McCain campaign is now permanently in the gutter with its refusal to do nothing but hurl negative and salacious attacks against Sen. Obama. It is disgusting and not what we should ever accept in our country.

If the McCain/Palin camp's tactic is to scare the American people, it's working... I'm frightened by the idea of them running our country. I'm even more frightened by the fact that so many people are buying into their rhetoric. It's a wonder this country is in ruins.

Obama has taken the high road thus far and will continue to do so. Everyone sees the mud and knows whos throwing it.
But bringing out your wife (who's usually a bobble-head standing behind who pays the bills and creeps people out) to throw punches for you is particularly impotent.

I am sick and tired of all the mud slinging....and I must say it feels pretty darn good to be on the winning side of politics. These last 8 years have proven we absolutely need a change! Everyone let your vote count.....VOTE!
