Things here have been full of house repairs and consultant duties, so I haven't had a chance to blog about these items I'd saved up. I thought I'd at least share them so you can provide the commentary.
- Waymon's Bilerico-Florida interview with Obama Deputy Campaign Manager Steve Hildebrand was quoted in the Stonewall Democrats vs Log Cabin Republican debate by... LCR. Seriously. Not too shabby for the first post after the official launch!
- Prince pens an open letter to his gay friend who refuses to get involved in fighting Prop 8. No, not that Prince. But it's a damn good post, nonetheless.
- If you live in Indianapolis, Macy's is hosting a reception and cinema benefit for HIV/AIDS orgs. Try to attend if you can make it; I'm going to do my best to be there.
- This is something you won't see on the evening news. Afghan soldiers getting completely stoned on hash and fighting. Look for the one stoned Afghan soldier who almost gets his head shot off when he jumps out all stoned and starts unloading his clip. This is discipline?

I find it disappointing that Prince had to write his letter to convince his gay friend to fight Proposition 8. But then I had to ask, what am I doing about it? Since I don't live in California or have contact with folks there, I guess the only way I can oppose Proposition 8 is by donating money. But is it too late to do so and still have it be effective?
Hi, Dale, it is not too late to donate. In fact, your money can help to get No-on-8 ads on television. I heard that these ads help very much in countering the lies that are being spread on TV. If you lived in California, it would sicken you to see all the "protect marriage" ads that are running and how absurd they are. Anyway, you can donate here.
