Today is the the day. Today we change the world.

We won't be posting today until the first polls close at 6pm EST. Instead, our contributors will be out working to elect their candidate of choice or defeat anti-gay legislation. Consider this an open thread to discuss events that happen while we're out.
When we come back, we'll have a liveblog/chat for the election results that'll stay on top. We'll also have separate posts underneath for Prop 8, the presidential election, Amendment 2, general election results and the Arizona amendment with regular updates from various contributors around the nation to those posts. The general comments section will be available for all the separate posts too.
Make sure you know where your polling place is and go vote. After you've voted, walk to the nearest campaign office and volunteer your time to get more people out to vote.
Don't expect us to be around until 6; we won't expect you to be visiting. There's too much work to be done to sit around in front of our computers today.
Editors' note: Did you like this post? Please help us out by voting for The Bilerico Project as the Best LGBT Blog in the 2008 Weblog Awards! You don't have to sign up for anything, or even leave our site - just click on "The Bilerico Project." Thank you so much!

Voted this morning after my precinct opened at 6 AM. Waited in a long but fast moving line for about twenty minutes before i got to cast my history making ballot.

Good news from my mom.
She is a Southern Baptist preacher's wife, and we talked and she was disgusted by Elizabeth Dole's godless americans ad. According to her it went too far.
So she supported Hagan instead. Yay!
