*Updates at the end of the post- New Cities Added*
Everyone has been asking what they can do in response to Amendment 2, California Prop 8, and Arizona 102. Well, someone has answered that question.
Join the Impact has started a movement for a National Day of Protest on November 15th, 2008:
On the steps of your City Hall on November 15th at 10:30am PST /1:30pm EST, our community WILL take to the streets and speak out.
The website now has 13 locations in Florida listed, but are asking for anyone to contact them to arrange one in their area. California had been protesting nonstop since their constitutional amendment passed, making huge national headlines. Now we can all step up and do the same in our own state.
Visit www.jointheimpact.com for more information. Feel free to use the comments section here or send me information to post about protests you are organizing in your area. Protest information for each city after the jump...
And here's another way to communicate about the protests:

Thank you for posting the Orlando information!
I will fight anyone the interfers in my process for EQUALITY as I did at the Stonewall. I'm 61 yrs old and don't like the religious right to tell me who I can love, or have sex with.
I feel the Second Amendment to Floridas' Contitution
has TAKEN AWAY EQUAL PROTECTION UNDER THE LAW Guaranteed by the Constitution.
Peace

Waymon great job in spreading the word. I just spoke to some of the planners of the Miami Beach protest and they say dozens have already signed up and many more are asking for details. Which event will you attend? GaySoFla.com will cover the Miami Beach event.

Hi David!
Good news about the Miami Beach protest! I'm helping organize the Fort Lauderdale one, but will actually be attending a protest in Michigan (I'm going to be out of town for family issues).
I have some people covering the Lauderdale event and the Tampa events.
Left comment, tried to preview...died...Will check later if it went through.

New Cities and Events added:
Key West, Waldo, and a nighttime Miami Event! Check it out!
Gainesville info added.
FL now has the second most cities particpating, after California.
Where's Waldo (Florida)???
BTW.....got an email from Equality Florida:
"Undo 2- No Second Class Citizenship!"
"Undo2 is a grassroots campaign to undo the harm of Amendment 2-a constitutional amendment that bans marriage equality and jeopardizes any legal protections for same-sex couples and all unmarried Floridians."
http://www.Undo2.org
I had to google map it.... LOL
It's just northeast of Gainesville. Way to go, Waldo!! :)
I just left a comment for OrlandoSentinel.com to post notice of this rally in Orlando. Is there someone contacting the radio and television stations? I suggest someone call into Real Radio 104.1 and start conversations with Monster or Jim Phelps shows. I would but I can't because I'm in a meeting all day and cannot call.
I don't know if this is still true, but Waldo, Florida had a reputation for being a notorious speed trap. College kids heading north from the University of Florida in Gainesville would be stopped by the Waldo cops and fined for going over the town's low speed limit.
I will protesting in front of city hall in Orlando which I think is a mistake because city hall is very gay friendly in my opinion we should have taken the protest in front of some church which were the ones who were pushing that dumb amendment 2 to begin with, but we must also take blame because the gay community did very little to fight this amendment. Anyway I hope the showing is as big as for gay pride.
I sent out 1600 emails last night for the Fort Lauderdale rally, if i had more time i could have spread the word alot farther with straight and gay people. We must do this again bigger and better.
Everyone must finally say something and stop the religious right from taking our rights away. THIS HAS TO STOP
Hello Folks,
Roland Wise here from Waldo, Florida. We are really here, so come on by the Coffee Shop in downtown across from City Hall, and get into the discussion about our common desire to UNDO 2.
Our protest the other day had 10 people, and with Waldo's population being 500, we all agreed that it was a great beginning. These grass root meetings that are happening all over the US are going to go down in history as our step toward freemdom and equal rights once and for ALL.
Check out our website, www.proposition10.blogspot.com
and please go to FACEBOOK and join the group PROPOSITION 10 (roland wise)
PEACE OUT!!!
