I'm putting on my citrus hat and demanding that at least one post on Bilerico today have absolutely nothing to do with the election, Prop 8 aspersions or assumptions, or marriage equality in general.

Carry on.

That is adorable. Send it to the NYTimes Sunday magazine or some advertising firm for alcoholic beverages.

It's not my kitty, Ewe. I just happened upon the picture while I was in a bad mood and it made me giggle. Since I didn't want to do a post reporting on protests, finger pointing, politics or anything remotely resembling, you know, what the blog is about, I thought it seemed like a nice way to share my giggle and get out of doing a real post. :)

Oh, Bil. That is *too* funny. When I saw the headline before the picture, I was thinking - hey, I want to see more articles about marriage and the election. Now I see it your way. ;-)

You should make it a "Caption This" entry.

So how's the weather down there in Indiana?

Oh guess who's going to be on Larry King Wednesday night.....oops....nevermind :)

Election, hell. This is the #1 draftee for the NFL.

Well, there's the post right below this one....

Don't you go making aspersions on my citrus hat, Sir. You and I were chatting on AIM as you finished your post. Mine was already in queue ahead of time.

Nyah. You big sourpuss.

*giggles*

You don't get off that easily with this one, my dear editor.......reliable sources say that a little known yet precedential decision of the California Supreme Court in a case called Feline vs. Citrus (1867), the Equal Protection Claws was held to overturn a law that banned cats who insisted on covering their heads with oversize sliced lemons from voting had as much right to go to the polls and vote as any other inhabitant of the Golden State. A recent whisker-count indicates that there are enough outstanding provisional ballots still out there from this segment of the demographic that should give those who have thrown in the towel concerning Proposition 8 considerable paws. So don't give me this kitty litter about a respite from the Proposition 8 stuff. You know very well what you are doing here.

There are two means of refuge from the miseries of life: music and cats. - Albert Schweitzer

And don't forget about the Great Universal Law of Cats (GULC). What is the GULC? It requires that each cat bless any and all nearby piles of paper, preferably those being worked on by writers, by sitting on them with their furry bottoms. Writers simply can't get their work done without these feline blessings on their work.

I nominate Citrus Head to be the mascot of Bilerico. He (he? she?) has blessed us all today.

Citrus Hat for President in 2016! (She'd be old enough in cat years!)

Okay the kitty wins post of the day just for plain and simple cuteness.

Don't tell the other contributors that a cat with a lime on it's head wins the prize. *grins*

As other comments have indicated, Lime-Kitty does look rather like a Jedi Knight out of Star Wars. Maybe this is raw pre-production footage from one of the epics before the CGI guys at Industrial Light and Magic had their way with it.

Particularly, Sir Felix Lime-Kitty looks like one of the little furry Ewoks that fight in the battle at the end of The Empire Strikes Back. Maybe the perplexed look on his face is from sitting around in the dressing trailer while Han Solo bangs Princess Leia.

The cute puppies think that you are taking attention away from them and demand an equal platform here at Bilerico.

All together now...Awwwww!
