Today is World AIDS Day 2008. As I was looking around yesterday for today's You Gotta See This video, I noticed how many great videos had been produced from all around the globe. I picked American Idol finalist Nadia Turner's World AIDS Day PSA, but I knew I had to share some of the others with you.
From Germany:
More videos after the jump. Watch them all. You'll be amazed at the different directions they've taken the day.
From Canada: (This is one of my favorites.)
From Singapore:
An interesting aside on this one... Even though I can't understand a word of it, it comes with this text:
Watch the Channel 8 drama serial, By My Side (????), every weekday night at 9pm. The story tells of how Bufan (??), played by Chen Hanwei (???), finds out that he had been infected with HIV and the challenges he has to overcome to gain acceptance and support from his family, colleagues and friends. Also catch your favourite stars, Zoe Tay (???), Rui En (??) and Elvin Ng (???) who star in the show. World AIDS Day Concert website - http://www.loveamp.sg
Anyone know of any American TV shows doing anything special for World AIDS Day? Me either.
From South Africa:
From the religious charity WorldVisionUSA:
From Uganda:
From Taiwan:
From New Zealand:
From HIV/AIDS charity Global Hope:

Wish they hadn't made the guy in the German video who's HIV+ look sinister and be the least conventionally attractive person.
The Kiwi video is very touching.
Thanks for sharing these!
