The Colbert Report's "The Word" segment compares Prop 8/Marriage Equality with... gun control and Plaxico Burress? Stephen talks about his "man/gun love" and taking his gun home for Thanksgiving.
Hunger Games 2 comes out soon and I can't wait. I've read the series of books (and shared it with a few folks via Kindle!). How many of you are excited to see it come out?

Waymon, I love Stephen Colbert, but this skit put me off.... Of course, I support his right to do it. But it totally didn't amuse me.
On the other hand, I'll certainly remember it! And keep thinking about it. So in that sense, it was effective.
It is funny the relationship conservatives have with individual rights.
We apparently have a right bear arms without any restrictions, but no basic right to privacy. It's ridiculous and they know it.
What's worse, we're going to see conservatives, all the same people who sat around on TV and told us that GWB should have a right to spy on, arrest, detain, torture, and imprison anyone he pleases in the name of national security, turn 180 degrees and say that anything Obama does is an infraction of individual rights. They're so weird.
