Twilight Star Michael Welch: Prop 8 is Absolute Disaster

Even vampires get that Prop 8 is just plain wrong.
Michael Welch, one of the stars of red-hot vampire-human love story Twilight, called the passage of Prop 8 an " absolute disaster" in an exclusive video on the Campaign Silo.
I think Prop 8 is an absolute disaster. Basic human rights and human dignity would call for us to overturn that...I have absolutely no doubt that we will get there, and it will happen sooner than later.

Has anyone seen the movie? Is it any good?

I did see this film, Bil. It was pretty good, within reason. I do think they made some bad choices in how they lit and filmed the vampire characters, as it was clearly obvious that they had make up on to make them unnaturally white in colour. We were also able to see Robert Pattinson's (Edward) contact lenses when they did extreme close up shots of his face, and I won't even go into Edward's CGI sparkle...
There was some cheesy dialogue, but unfortunately it was taken directly from the book and Ms Meyer insisted some of it remain, as diehard fans would note the exclusion. I think Kristen Stewart (Bella) was a little flat in her portrayal, but then the character is meant to be somewhat apathetic anyway. The progression of the love story was a bit fast--faster than in the book at any rate. And I think that Taylor Lautner (Jacob) was miscast. On the positive, the town and the house that Charlie lives in was exactly how I visualised it, Charlie was well cast, and there were some funny parts throughout.
All in all it was an enjoyable enough film, if you can get past the things I mention above. I am hoping they do a better job on subsequent films, especially where make up, lighting and digital effects is concerned.

I have two teenagers in my family who saw it and absolutely HATED it. Said the acting was abysmal, the dialogue badly written, and the special effects totally cheesy.
