Okay, Projectors... I have a challenge for you this week.
We change our logo about occasionally to reflect any holidays or special themes. With our audience growing constantly, we've trademarked the standard logo, so none of the old designer logos can be used this year. The special logos have become very popular and some of you left suggestions for new holidays/events to observe this year.
That's where you come in. I'd like to see a spruced up logo for Lunar New Year (Chinese New Year). E-mail me your submissions and the Ed Team will choose 3 finalists. Next week, Projectors will vote on the logos and we'll announce a winner of a fabulous prize package and the eternal glory that comes from designing a Bilerico logo, of course.
After the jump you'll find a correctly sized downloadable version of our logo and the contest rules and prize package(s).
Here's what you'll be competing for...
A $50 gift certificate from Wildcat Press courtesy of Patricia Nell Warren. This will buy you two hardbacks or three softback books! The lucky Projector will also win a copy of The Tudors: The Complete Second Season courtesy of Showtime and Paramount Pictures.
- The size of the graphic must stay the same - 400 pixels by 200 pixels.
- Most of BILERICO needs to be seen; only the O can be covered up. (In the holiday logo, the O became the snowman's head, but the rest is visible.)
- The BILERICO stamp must remain green.
- The Trademark must remain visible.
Logo submissions must be received by midnight Saturday, January 3rd, 2009 EST. Contributors are welcome to participate. Multiple entries are allowed, but only one design per person will be chosen as a finalist entry.
Finalists will be announced on Sunday, January 5th. Voting will start when the finalists are announced and continue until Thursday, January 8th at midnight. Winners will be announced on Friday, January 9th. By voting for a finalist, 5 Projectors will win a copy of The Tudors: The Complete Second Season for themselves. Comment winners will be announced on Friday, January 9th too.

Projector IndigoSue has done all of the previous special logos; she really deserves a round of applause - especially for the fabulous Thanksgiving and winter holidays logos! Plus, she did them all for free; so if you need some graphic design work, be sure to help a sister out and tell her Bilerico sent you.
