Islamic terrorists are using SODOMY to recruit!

Gay Patriot, a gay conservative blog, is asking you to set your beds to wet with new information originally reported by the British tabloid The Sun: terrorists are using TEH SODOMY to recruit new suicide bombers. They've started a watch on HRC, the Task Force, and the NCLR to wait for their response (but they have little faith that those librul groups are going to call out islamofascists using gay sex for "nefarious purposes").

Via Ace of Spades, a right-of-center blog, we learn that "Islamic terrorists are raping young men in order to drive them into suicide bombings." Because of the "intense social stigma and fear of more gay sex attacks leaves Muslims prepared to die."

Intense social stigma? As that stigma increasingly fades in Western societies, shouldn't gay organizations concern themselves with that stigma in other lands, particularly when it leads to the persecution and execution of people just because they're gay.

Shouldn't gay organizations want us to ramp up the war on terror to defeat those persecute gay people and use gay sex for nefarious purposes?

Yes, yes! I can't think of a better use of their limited resources than to respond to nonsensical claims in a British tabloid and demand that Obama bomb, bomb, bomb Iran!

Of course, those same groups, hell, even Gay Patriot, could be calling for an end to those who would use gay sex for nefarious purposes in instances we know are rampant right here in our borders: prison rape. Or working to end rape, period, in the US, which occurs at a disgustingly high rate.

Either that, or the right-wing just found another paranoid scare-mongering story that centers around sodomy being used by whatever scarecrow they use to keep their flocks in line. One of the things they hate the most is butt-sex, and when they can attach it to someone they don't like, they go for broke.

But something tells me that they're going to be waiting for a long time for NCLR, etc, to respond to this conveniently ridiculous story. It's just as well - I'm still waiting for the LCR to push for an investigation into the CIA's role in the 9/11 attacks and for HRC to finally take it upon itself to find out if Tupac is really dead.

Absolutely nothing is too bizarre or unreasonable for people steeped in superstition and ignorance, aka religious people, so you can't just discount the story, however unlikely.

And it is unlikely. The truth of the matter is that young people in muslim countries have plenty of reasons to strike out. In Palestine the zionist colonists use ethnic cleansing, enforced poverty and apartheid in a war of attrition against against Palestinians. In Iraq the invasions by the US and its English junior partner created a firestrom of killing that ended up with over a million dead. Obama plans to ramp up the killing in Afghanistan and continue cross border air attacks against Syria and Pakistan which usually result in far more deaths of civilians than Al Qaida types.

The economic and political life the entire region is constantly tipped off balance because of the US campaign to control oil production and distribution. Numerous studies about the subject indicate that from Morocco to Indonesia the level of despair and rage produced is all that’s needed to send people on suicide missions.

The beginning of a solution is to renew the struggle for the total, immediate and permanent withdrawal of US military, terrorist, mercenary and “security” forces from the 737 US military bases outside the US, as well as those of it’s English junior partners in crime, to their home bases.

The use of this technique against young women has been going on for a long time, and is relatively well-documented. Videotaped confessions from those involved, that kind of thing.

For example, this AP report.

I'd not seen any reports before about the same technique being used against young men. The report may be false, but it's certainly plausible, nothing outrageously unbelievable about it at all.

Of course some people prefer not to believe such things because it doesn't fit their preconceived ideas. And others are too ready to believe pretty much anything to fit *their* preconceived ideas.

Well thank God I don't have any urges to blow up buildings. I've been sodomized repeatedly for years now!

I have been sodomized often as well, Bil and I have to admit that sometimes I wish I could blow up a building or two - BUT I WON'T (please don't put me on the shit list, Dept of Homeland Security...i loves me some Jezis...I promise!)

In the same day that I saw this post from Alex about males being raped and manipulated I also happened to see a post at SLOG (Dan Savage's blog/newspaper) about females being raped and manipulated into a life of TERROR.

Why would these stories be in the news within the same week? I'm no conspiracy theorist...but this kind of stuff makes we want to reconsider.

I'm more afraid of the story behind the coincidence of these reports than I am frightened of the thought of rape being used to produce new terrorists.

I highly highly doubt the veracity of this story.

It has all the earmarks of anti-Islamic, homophobic propaganda.

But Brynn, it was in The Sun! That's about as reliable as the BBC, no?

It's funny, because my bf here in Paris wanted to know what this post was about, so I said something like "Someone else said that terrorists were using sodomy to find new terrorists." And he asked how that worked, so I responded that "The older terrorists fuck the younger ones, and then the young terrorists get so sad that they want to die so they suicide bomb things."

Sometimes I like explaining these stories aloud - it really hits home how silly they are.

Before the invasion, gay life was much better in Iraq. The war transformed what was a somewhat secular country into a place where religious death squads roamed around executing anyone they thought might be gay.
