This week we're running an exclusive contest for Bilerico Project readers and we're giving away $400 worth of prizes thanks to GLAAD - The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation. Up for grabs are two pairs of show-only tickets to the 20th Annual GLAAD Media Awards. The GLAAD Media Awards ceremony is March 28 (this Saturday) at the Marriott Marquis in New York City. Both sets are worth $200.
This year there are 185 nominees in 41 categories that include Outstanding Film; TV Journalism; Theatre; Music Artist; and Comic Book; and 15 Spanish language entertainment and news categories. Tyra Banks, Suze Orman and Phil Donahue will receive special honors. Special guests include Clay Aiken, Stockard Channing, Cherry Jones, T.R. Knight, S. Epatha Merkerson, Chris Noth and Keith Olbermann.
Tickets includes entrance to show only. (Cocktail reception and dinner are not included.) Balcony doors open at 8:00 pm for general admission, theater-style seating and the awards show begins at 8:30 pm. Limited availability, so if you don't want to take your chances on winning one of the pairs we have, you should go buy yours now.
Details on how to win after the jump. Contest ends at 8:30am Noon* ET on Wednesday, March 25.
You can see all the stars just by leaving a comment on this post. Be sure to use a valid e-mail address so I can contact the winner. You can only enter once (I'll delete duplicate entries) and contributors aren't eligible to win. Winners will be drawn at random. Prize is two tickets to the GLAAD Media Awards show.
The winners will be posted at 9am 1pm* on Wednesday morning, March 25, and I'll e-mail them too. Winners will have 24 hours to respond and claim tickets or I'll randomly choose another winner from this post's comment thread.
*Times were extended to give more people time to enter after a denial of service attack took down the site for a few hours Monday night. Sorry for any inconvenience.

ZOMG this would be so awesome -- I used to be one of GLAAD's soldiers who clipped out news articles and printed them out from online BEFORE there was an Internet, and would scan + OCR them in and e-mail them over to them ... ah, the early days ... ;-)

I love how we honor Hollywood celebrities who spent years in the closet, denying there sexuality and enforcing the belief that letting people know the truth will ruin your professional career.
"Since you were so courageous by coming out ten years after the peak of your professional career - We would LOVE it if you represented our community by hosting an award show signifying the advances the rest of us fought for while you hid in the closet"
Even with that said - I never turn down an invitation to a black tie affair

Leave me out....GLAAD deliberately defames women of trans/intersexed history by continuing to promote "transgender" as a forced inclusive term despite complaints about it.....
I'd sooner attend an HRC gala.
