"No one expects President Obama to come out for marriage equality. But for an administration that has boldly passed the largest stimulus in our country's history, upped our troop commitment in Afghanistan, and canned the CEO of a major American company well within the bounds of his first 100 days, it's almost mystifying to think his administration sent out a statement that read more like they were defending their marriage stance than marking the moment."

-- Advocate writer Kerry Eleveld on the administration's lackluster press release on the day the Iowa Supreme Court ruled in favor of same-sex marriage.
