Dear Cal Thomas,

If you're going to write a homophobic rant about how Iowa's activist judges are destroying America and how Disneyland is perverting our values by letting gays enter their park, try not to open by relating the plot, with lyrics, of The Music Man. It makes you seem kinda gay.

Love,

Alex

Funny also, because the trouble Harold Hill warned of -- that a pool hall could ruin the city forever -- was a matter of feeding on made-up, irrational fear.

So, Thomas follows in Hill's footsteps, promoting an irrational fear that same-sex marriage will ruin Iowa. He's just bewildered because he has no magical instruments to sell to the gullible townsfolk.
