Two words: Stockholm syndrome.
Shake off the dust, child, and move on.
As a 66 yr old Equal Rights Activist (Back to the 1960's and Martin Luther King), and with a sister who is a member of LDS, I fail to see how someone can adhere to such a backward religion. During the sixties they treated blacks as second class citizen while telling their congregation of their love for them.
Now the congregation goes along with the Church and rallies for it's hateful "defense of marriage" stand. Let's call it what it is, a "defense of the Blble" stand; A Bible that they have altered to suit their needs.
