Miss California shows everyone what God, er, the pageant gave her

You knew it was only a matter of time before the another thing that Maggie's pious National Organization for Marriage touches blows up in its face. Nude photos of 
Miss Pageant-Paid-for-Jugs-for-Jesus have surfaced and the devoted "Christian" is forced to explain herself. Of course she's just a victim, right? Even a bible-beating homophobic gal's got to make a living. (PopCrunch):
Alicia Jacobs, Entertainment Reporter at KVBC in Las Vegas, has seen all six of the photos and says some are much more revealing. Alicia believes the flicks may have been taken after Carrie's pageant-financed breast augmentation about six weeks ago.
Hmmm...These explosive pictures could be devastating for Miss California, whose anti-gay marriage campaign recently resulted in a partnership with the National Organization for Marriage and helped to make her increasingly popular with right-wing conservatives.

Miss Prejean's statement:
"I am a Christian, and I am a model. Models pose for pictures, including lingerie and swimwear photos. Recently photos taken of me as a teenager have been released surreptitiously to a tabloid Web site that openly mocks me for my Christian faith. I am not perfect, and I will never claim to be. But these attacks on me and others who speak in defense of traditional marriage are intolerant and offensive. While we may not agree on every issue, we should show respect for others' opinions and not try to silence them through vicious and mean-spirited attacks."

Seriously? Yawn.
Let's see. The big story here is that
a)Perez Hilton, who seems to think he represents all of gaydom, supposedly spoke for all of his people by demanding to know what Prejean thought of gay marriage.
b) Prejean, a conservative, said she disapproved of the same.
c) Hilton went on to be the nasty little gossip ragger he always is and called P. a bitch and even said he'd call her a cunt.
d) Prejean, a conservative, turns out to be a hypocrite, horrors!
What do we have so far? During a deeply sexist contest, a deeply misogynistic gay man responds to a deeply hypocritical conservative who, it turns out, doesn't mind exposing her breasts even as she yammers on about her Christian nation.
Are we surprised yet?
Can gays and lesbians stop beating this dead horse? Leaving alone all the sexism that's rampant in this story, no one is even willing to interrogate the idea that, oh, the fact that conservatives are against gay marriage doesn't make it any less of a conservative issue.
So far, the only thing going for GM is that wheeee, conservatives are against it - so it must be good!
Seriously, people. Give this story a rest.

I must admit that I wondered why we were jumping on pictures of her topless that don't even show her boobs. Think of the gay male dating sites and you'll see much worse. Kind of hypocritical if you ask me...
