Porn star Vincent DeSalvo kicked out of Christian college

Here's one for the Shocker! files... Porn star Vincent DeSalvo (real name: John Gechter) has been kicked out of college for appearing in adult films. The young hottie attended Grove City College, one of America's most conservative Christian colleges.

Grove City College promotes itself as "Authentically Christian" and requires students to attend at least 16 chapel services per semester. It prides itslef [sic] on its conservative heritage and notes on its Web site that the Young America's Foundation recognized it as one of the Top Ten conservative colleges in the U.S.

The school's student handbook clearly states that "premarital sex, heterosexual or homosexual, or any other such conduct that violates historical Christian standards" is subject to disciplinary action.

Mr. Gechter was charged with sexual misconduct, participation in the public display of pornography and engaging in "conduct that is contrary to the mission and values of Grove City College and likely to bring dishonor to the College."

I hate to say it, but what the hell was he thinking? The article quotes him on how much money he was making (as much as $11k per weekend) and also says tuition, room and board at the school costs $20k per year. So why in hell didn't he take that money and go to another school - say one that's not über Christian? Is it stupid that they threw him out? Yes. Is he stupid for going there to start with? Hell yes.

If you don't want to get kicked out of college, don't violate the school's rules.

It is a private college. They make their own rules. Good for them.

If I was the President of a University I'd only admit gay boys, lesbian girls, girls with a penis, and boys with a vagina. Protest me.

I really admire this guy. Purely in the interest of jornalistic accuracy I've viewed a few of his films. He is a conservative Christian turned actor (sort of a reverse Ronald Reagan). Even without his degree he seems to be very talented and versatile. In addition to his heavy academic load, he was taking a lot of other loads at work (working very hard on weekends when other college students are partying and sleeping in). In terms of his work ethic, it appears he was willing to start out in the very bottom position and he may some day work his way up to being a top (isn't that the American Dream in action?). He isn't afraid to work up a sweat while on he job. And this boy really seems to have a lot of verbal enthusiasm for his vocation (when so many people are unhappy and complaining about their jobs). And I have a feeling he is really boosting the income of those fine folks over at the Randy Blue Productions website, so he is helping improve the economy. Mr. John-Vincent Gechter-DeSalvo is a fine, hardworking, tax-paying American and I can't believe they suspended him from school.

Well.... he almost made it. Though my guess is that Grove City College would have rescinded his degree should have completed his education.

i have to agree totally...why would you be so foolish as to attend a school that is so conservative, knowing that the likelihood of expulsion was high if they found out your off-hours employment? very foolish.

Mr. Gechter (Vincent DeSalvo) knew full well what the school's policies were. He violated them. It's sad that he got kicked out of school but he knew what he was doing when he started working for randyblue.com.
Did he think no one would find out about his "career"? How naive. He has no one to blame but himself. Maybe he should forget school and contimue with his porn career. It seems he's making a ton of money.
