The rumor mill started whirling last night that the California Supreme Court will issue it's ruling on Prop 8's constitutionality Thursday after Joe.My.God's Joe Jervis posted that San Francisco police were dropping off crowd barriers in the Castro district.

Since then San Diego activists have also reported similar events. Other sources close to the court are also hinting strongly that the decision will come out tomorrow afternoon. If so, the decision will be announced on the 30th anniversary of the White Night Riots - sparked after the verdict in Dan White's trial for the murder of Harvey Milk was announced.

The Supreme Court website usually updates around 2pm Eastern time so we should know soon. I'll update the post with whether or not we'll find out tomorrow how the Court has ruled.

UPDATE: No ruling tomorrow. Looks like it was a tempest in a teapot; the wait goes on. There are only three days left for the court to announce. Next Tuesday, May 26, Thursday May 28 or Monday, June 1.
