Every week we get tons of tips and press releases that I never get around to blogging about. I'm considering starting a Sunday afternoon roundup of all the stuff I get; it's a good way to clean out the inbox and get some quick hits in front of Projectors. Here's what I have this week:
- Matrix director Larry Wachowski has transitioned to Lana Wachowski. Go Lana!
- Cleveland's domestic partner registry is being challenged.
- Did FedEx strike a special deal with Christianists to bombard Congress with letters claiming the hate crimes bill is meant to give special protection to pedophiles?
- Ever heard of "cyber confessing?"
- Did you see Pat Robertson's latest screed?
- At least two potential SCOTUS nominees could be big wins for LGBT rights.
- A man in Iowa was just sentenced to 25 years in prison for criminal transmission of HIV even though his victim didn't become infected.
- Why did the Pope ban psychoanalysis from the priesthood in 1969?
- Senegal: "The homosexuals will not escape lynching. They will be fish food."
- Help the National Coalition for LGBT Health's efforts to include a question on sexual orientation and gender identity in the largest national health survey.
- Free e-book: The Gay Marriage Alternative: Finding Legal Equality, Security and Peace of Mind Without Changing the Law.
- Transgender people see hope after the conviction of Allen Andrade. (Includes a quote from Projector Shari's partner, Crystal.)
- Projector Pam Bennett is running for the Aurora City Council.

I read thru the articles that were listed here and found most all of them quite interesting. I was especially shocked to hear how the religious right have now tried to associate being gay with pedophilia. Are they out of their mind? That FedEx is also providing a discount on letters to urge senators against this bill seems equally wrong if they don't offer the same discount to those in favor of it.
