Pride month is this month as we remember the Stonewall riots. In honor of the birth of the modern LGBT rights movement, let's have a riot!

I was looking for more info on how Barack Obama declared June national LGBT(lesbian gay bisexual transexual) month and stumbled across this really interesting campaign BooksOnBoard (www.booksonboard.com) is doing called " Pride not Prejudice". They are featuring (and discounting)a bunch of ebook and audio book titles having to do with LGBT pride as well as other areas of social change and acceptance. I just think it's a really cool approach to the subject that hasn't really been done before--- especially by a more mainstream company.

Just wanted to note that the 40th is the "Ruby" Anniversary. There are those who postulate that the Stonewall riots were in part inspired by Judy Garland's death and the queens being a tad bit frayed after her funeral when the cops tried to shut their bar down.
Who knows, but I hope to see plenty of glittery red slippers walking down 5th Avenue on Pride Sunday...
