The ACLU posted on their Facebook page that the Senate Judiciary Committee will hold a hearing Wednesday at 10:00am entitled "Oversight of the U.S. Department of Justice."
This would be a great time for Attorney General Eric Holder to answer questions about the DoJ brief that was so painfully insulting to this community.

Ask Holder: The Department's brief in defense of DOMA likened same sex couples to those who commit incest and pedophilia. Do you agree?
Ask Holder: If President Obama's view is that DOMA should be repealed, why did the Department of Justice feel compelled to defend it in court?
Ask Holder: As the Nation's top law enforcement officer, do you feel that DOMA violates the Equal Protection clause of the U.S. Constitution?

In response to the claim that the law meets the standard of a government interest because it saves the taxpayers money, I want to ask Holder what financial value the DOJ assigns to equal/civil rights.
Obviously someone decided they are worth less than the cost of the federal benefits that accrue to opposite marriage people, so I want to know the precise and calculated value.
