Thanks for all the blog and Twitter support this morning, Projectors. My first time on CNN.com/live went pretty well except for the beginning when my Skype died. Take pity on me for the first question and remember I was still getting the audio back. *grins*
While I understand the need to hold Obama's feet to the fire, why do we have to act like we expected him to ride into office on a unicorn, wave a magic fairy wand, and homosexualize the entire nation?
All in all, it was a really fun experience. I look forward to doing it again soon.

i definitely don't expect obama to rescue us as a nation, but it would be nice if he carried out his campaign promises.

Again, I don't agree that the President should wait or ignore the call to repeal DADT. As I've repeatedly said, all it takes now is an Executive Order to stop the discharge process.
I honestly don't care about the reaction to such an action from the right...they've obviously already indicated they will fight everything this administration does. Time has nothing to do with it.

Darling. You're now a huge media celebrity with mobs of cheering fans! Or have you been for months and years and I just missed it? Either way, good job. I especially like your emphasis on prioritizing our strategy. Next step in my view is setting practical strategy. But I can't imagine it with so many of us carrying around so much baggage.

Even better. Being worshipped and adored by the slobbering masses is too vulgar, not to mention revolting and hopelessly declasse. Once they find your scent, the pr agents would move in, and it's done. You'd end up doing commercials for the male douche, and your time as a serious commentator would be over.

For those who've never experienced a remote interview, it's a very weird experience. My first was done in-studio, I was in this dark room with this bright light shining down on me, looking at a camera that looked more like a glassy reflection, and the only humanbeing there was hiding off in the background whispering into a headset. There was no monitor to see who I was talking to or to know who was being spoken to, no visual cues, nothing until a name was mentioned. It was this bizarre interrogative disconnection, and then all of a sudden you hear your name and realize that someone just threw a question at you.
Having said that, you handled it very well. These kinds of interviews are not at all easy.

Thanks Mercedes, but I wasn't in studio for a remote interview. I was in my bedroom via Skype. (After all the insulation work we had done a couple of months ago, we haven't finished painting all the poor walls that now have big circles on them where it got blown in. It was one of the only undamaged walls!)
